Post by: Flannel Boy on November 23, 2007, 03:23:26 PM
(http://www.bestbuy.ca/multimedia/products/large/10093621.jpg)

It's on sale at Best Buy Canada and I'm thinking of buying one.

The Good

- $180
- 8GB
- SD expansion slot
- Nice 2.5" TFT screen
- Good audio quality
- Only 60 grams
- Built in battery

The bad

-Have to convert videos to WMV
-Not an iPod?

I have a Creative Zen Vision W. . .and it supports xvid and divx and lots of other codecs.  I adore it for watching shit in bed or in the tub and on the can.  Are you sure the codec support is that shitty on that one?

this is the supposed successor to the zen vision:m and has comparable features

the main differences being:

this is smaller and flash based, but has expandable sd(hc) memory

xvid/divx must be in wmv container, unlike vision:m

Still deciding if I want this or the zune 2 personally. However I love creative and their products rock so yeah

I love my W.  But I *only* use it for video.

They're pretty good products.  Unless you absolutely don't want to convert shit to wmv I would get it.

It's even more average than the last one? Figures. I want an mp3 player but I'm not sure what to get. I mean, I COULD get an ipod and play it safe, but those cost much more and with not as many features as say, the Zen.

i don't know what he's laughing about, but the Zune 2 actually looks pretty decent.

I have a Creative Zen Nano. It's itty bitty and sometimes I wish the screen was bigger, but I love it. It doesn't play videos but I don't care about that. Also, it was  a gift from Ecrofirt :heartbeat for our...four-year anniversary, maybe? Something like that. I've had it for about two years.

Creative rox IMO.

ETA:
The fact that it's not an iPod isn't a bad thing lolol.

Drag and Drop via the Windows Explorer is coo. I say get it. I'm happy with my 3G Nano though

It's a MS product, spearheaded by J Allard.  I'm required to laugh at it.

I have a Creative Zen Vision M. I love it. No complaints. Its battery seems to last a good deal longer than my old 30gig Ipod too.

I'm going to buy one after work, along with a pair of Creative EP630 in-ear headphones.
