Personally I think mkportal (the front page)
should be dumped and changed to tiny portal ( smf mod that looks better, that is simplified and has comparable features )
plus its built from the ground up for smf unlike mkportal which has shitty support

Id volunteer but I doubt anyone would like me tinkering around again behind the scenes

so theres my suggestion

as for the forums themselves there were a number of things I had in mind before everything fell apart. sadly upgrading smf would force us to lose features in exchange for newer ones due to code compatibility
