It's ugly, the plot is wacky jappy inane, the badge/cosplay collection stuff isn't particularly well-implemented outside of a few puzzles, and the battles are the dumb kind of hack-and-slash (and they're consistently tedious).

it's a big handjob to 8-bit fetishists, but that's it

Yeah or the Nintendo USB dongle thingy. I guess you could use other ones, but the Ninty one is supposed to be specially designed for use with the DS.

Don't get Tetris unless you find it for $20. Everywhere I go it's still at $35, which is a joke.

Mario Kart DS is a fun, safe pick. Great multiplayer.  :-*

I got it for $30 and it was worth every penny. I had already played the game for hundreds of hours, and I still can't put it down. Being awesome at it helps, losers.

I can understand someone hating playing against unknown (IE snakers) people, but you don't like playing against people you know either? It's fun

a) after Crash Team Racing, I have yet to play any cart racer even half as well-designed -- it's a brilliant racer despite the godawful mascots
b) I don't generally like kart racing that much, anyway, when I can play Wipeout Pure or Ridge Racers instead
c) I hate most of the Mario cast

Cajole: I'm really bad at Tetris and never found those games very fun. I like other puzzle games but Tetris has always been barren to me.

Honostly, Tetris DS really is the most fun online DS game.  If only Meteos was online, that would be awesome.

And Drinky is teh wrong, Mario Kart DS is one of the system's best.

ALSO, get Trauma Center.  Best implementation of both touch screen and dual screens I've seen.
