Saw it yesterday too, wasn't that great and the CG was spotty, looked great in one scene, horrible in the next.  :-\

I've been interested in seeing this and I think I will this weekend or week.  Saw an extended trailer for that JJ Abrams "monster" movie.  Can't wait for that. :hyper

I went in with lowered expectations, especially after my mom gave it a 10, but I was pretty impressed. I like epic fantasy films and it definitely fit that bill. Yes the CG is spotty at times but overall it was well done.

my mom liked it half because she thought it was "scary", and half because of the "biblical themes", ie DON'T TRUST WOMENZ which she quickly connected to Detroit's mayoral problems

Angelina's digital nakedness was the only redeeming factor. Without that, it would have received 0/4 stars out of the 1/4 I gave it.
