She has to be one of the most grating characters ever created. I would only hate fuck her if my penis was a chainsaw.

All things must pass
I dunno how I feel about the last episodes of Season 2. Very vague spoilers below (no major deaths or events directly referenced):

Episodes 9-10 were absolutely riveting edge-of-your-seat stuff, but the final two were less so. The main plot thread is resolved early on in the final episode, making the rest of it fairly by-the-book clean-up work. If they were going to stretch the plotline with Lila out like that then she should have been a viable villain for Season 3. But with the way things concluded she probably will not be that villain. IMO, the Doakes storyline should have been the focus rather than the Lila storyline.
Also, I'm a bit worried about where they can go with the third season. They've played the Dexter-investigates-killer angle as well as the Dexter-evades-investigation angle. With Doakes neutralized I'm not sure if there is much left that they can do with the character besides have him tread water. At the end of Season 1 there were still threats and revelations looming, but now basically everything has been resolved. I suppose LaGuerta could become the new Doakes, but she's such an annoying cunt that I'd hate to see the writers take that path.
Maybe they will do the same thing that Jeff Lindsay has done with the third Dexter book -- have Dexter lose his "Dark Passenger"...
