Title: Phoenix Dark, I have just begun working on your story/screenplay

This one is a doozie.  The working title, as of right now, is:

Maurice's Rainbow, or An Uncompromising Vision of What It Means to Be a Black Man in the Future of America, Year of Our Lord 2009, Under the Reign of Ron Paul, Rex Mundi, Rex Mundi

I am spittin' HOT FIYAH.  It is a NEAR FUTURE UTOPIA OR DYSTOPIA (depending on how racist or Texan you are).

Well, this one is going to be my grand epic.  It's going to be like Children of Men meets Blade Runner (no narration, fegs) meets the Warriors meets Sophie's Choice meets Boys in the Hood meets an overpass.  It is so totally an issue movie.

I was toying with putting him in one of these, but I've put aside the idea every time it's come up, because I think if anyone deserves one to himself, it's synbios.

My first instinct was to set a synbios story in some sort of traveling carnival, either in the late 19th century, or possibly during the Great Depression.  I mean, I ain't racist or anything, but Holmes was built for freakshows, you know?

I've been bouncing around another idea, loosely ripped from Mr. Arkadin, which is cool, because nobody knows shit about Arkadin.  However, I am not sure how entertaining it would be, and I am also focused on Maurice's Rainbow right now.

Hmmmm, I figured Cheebs might be a candidate for his own story, but I can't really think of anything that fits him, offhand.  Maybe he will appear in Maurice's Rainbow, but I feel like it's not really a fair use, and it might not exactly fit in due to the rules and structure of the near future I have constructed.
