My soon-to-be wife has abducted my laptop for thesis purposes, our two televisions are sold and my library account is OVERDUE. I've read everything we own (Critique of Everday life is delicious stuff) and cooked up all of our kitchen odds and ends. We are ready to move. Except it's not for 7 days.
All I have to entertain me is this old laptop with busted hinges. It 2.4ghz, 512 megs of ram Windows XP machine. I tried to play Dwarf Fortress with tile sets and still found it imposing and I've been pouring over a backlog of indie/art game dev and every fucking Rogue-like on the web. Now I need some help whittling it down. Suggest me something! I can't do ASCII tiles. Just can't. Tile sets are fine, sprites are better. I'm addicted to treadmill leveling stuff.

If you don't feel guilty about downloading older games that are no longer on sale, you can try this site http://www.the-underdogs.info/index.php
Also, I would recommend getting one of those older infinity engine RPGS. I plan to play Planescape on my labtop
eventually.
