They're both pretty mediocre but people were like "Oh, you should've played Superstar Saga first, it's so much better."

If by better they meant "really fucking simplistic," then, yeah.

Tried the first M&L for GBA on an emulator a lil bit. It sucked. Stick to the Paper Mario games.

I only ever played the GC Paper Mario game.  I have the N64 one but I never got around to it.

I thought Partners in Time was okay, but this one's a couple of notches below it.

My N64's in a closet somewhere gathering dust.  I bought it used for $30 like seven years ago. :lol
