So I watched the rip of this on joox last night. Looked to be a screener rip; the quality was way too good to be a cam.
I thought I Am Legend was decent overall. Smith wasn't playing the Fresh Prince this time around; none of that "welcome to URF" stuff was in there. He did a good job. The problem was that they didn't touch on enough of the elements regarding the "vampires," with their increasing intelligence and how Smith's character should have been perceived as the real enemy. They did touch on it briefly, with spoiler (click to show/hide)
One vampire clearly angry that Smith stole away his woman, even trying to come out into the light after him, and then the trap they set for Smith
, but that's it. Smith's character is supposed to be a doctor making commentary and keeping diaries on everything going on, but he doesn't notice the changes in the vampires' behavior? He doesn't comment on their increased intelligence from spoiler (click to show/hide)
the trap?
Could have been a much better movie. How are the other three adoptions of I Am Legend? I really should hunt down the book and read it.
