Title: weekend before christmas - whatchu playing?
Post by: abrader on December 23, 2007, 04:42:08 AM: ITs mostly been warhawk for me...

I played thru more of the Blacksite campaign and tried the online.....the online game is OK - but not as good as the last gen area 51 online where you could be a mutant soldier and see everything with trippy glowing colors, see your enemies thru walls and shoot worm parasites out of your cuthulu like hands...this does have an abduction mode that i havent tried - it sounds like conversion in resistance. perhaps ill get that crazy alien viewpoint I was anticipating in abduction mode.

Team deathmatch was ok - but slow moving.....much more fun stuff to play online like UT3 and Warhawk...

The campaign has gotten better but its a bit hard on the highest difficulty

tried to go back to dead rising to pick up some metagame achivements, but I actually couldnt be fucked running over 54000 zombies today, maybe some other time aye

after watching the recent videos of NG2, i decided to beat the rest of the missions i didn't bothered to beat when i bought it.

i still can't believe the framedrops/tearing, i mean it's not like the visuals are great or anything!

which is why NGB > NGS, not to mention it's easier + some of the missions are no longer found and replaced with silly beat them all starring Rachel :-\

also, Sixaxis BLOWS, 360 controller is way much better than this shit, sometimes when guarding, i don't feel "connected" and everything is loose.

I thinks its ok - it plays like "resident terminator" with a splash of namco.

The stages actually remind me more of playing dino crisis and I'd really only barely tolerable because of the terminator fan service.

I'm about to fire up terminator 3 redemtion which is the highest rated out of the three titles that shipped last gen

I wish I had robocop vs terminator snes.

i haven't had to grind yet -- probably because i went with an integra for my first car -- but i know where you're coming from. i actually prefer the structure of the earlier gt demos to the proper gt structure that we're starting to see now. not just having to drive shitty cars before you get to the gt-rs and ferraris that you're really after, but completely overmatching your opponents once you have got a nice car. i'd rather just choose something cool and have a good competitive race

The timing feels off to me, the boss battles are ridiculous (on the internet this is often spelt rediculous) in how bad they are, and the presentation of the game has officially started to rub me the wrong way. But omg Knights of Cydonia was freaking AWESOME, and MS but the Halo theme on XBL for download :lol

I'm playing the last two because I'm back home for break, so I'm testing them with my surround sound system. I really really really think Ass Creed + 5.1 is almost entirely different than Ass Creed plus good stereo headphones. Mario Galaxy not so much because of the wii, but I'm still working my way to 120 stars.

I put this down. I think the difficulty is just way out of whack. Aeana at GAF is working through it with some trouble, but she's way better at RPGs than I am and I just don't have the patience. I put it down for...

Holy hell have you tried Terminator 3 Redemption?

You play Arnold's reprogrammed terminator and must make your way to skynets time machine in the future and go back in time to complete the movie mission.

So far its the best terminator video game ever - forget that it has the aiming system of grandtheft auto - Arnold's lines are amazing...

I tried playing Hard once on Paranoid and the bass pedal owned my leg. I only sung on easy and free-styled the lyrics most of the time. Guitar wasn't THAT easy on Expert, but I was using the GHIII guitar, so that definitely helped.

Is it easier than Guitar Hero, though? Guitar Hero 3 feels pretty tough on hard and expert. I sweat my way through tier 7.

I'm getting rock band for christmas, so that means i can open it tonight <3

Yea, I really couldn't play with the Strat. It kept shitting out, too. I told my friend to get a replacement. I'm still pissed he didn't have the Metallica pack. Those are the songs I wanted to play on guitar on Expert. He said, "Oh I didn't like those songs." cigarillo.

And Kev, it's definitely easier than Guitar Hero III. This is accepted as fact. GHIII is just ridiculous.

I heard you're supposed to first put a small drop of water on the screen and then put the screen protector on to prevent air bubbles. don't know if that works. hope that if you do do it, that it doesn't short out the screen (it probably won't though).

yesterday I played like 5 hours of Halo 3 LAN. it was awesome. isolation is such a perfect fucking map.

I'm going to try to finish Gears on insane in co-op before the week is over. also try and finish fucking tomb raider (awesome ass game). maybe some R6: Vegas online cause I'm in the mood to shoot people. and then I'll try and level grind to level 10 in Dead Rising before I restart (or should I go higher?).

They're good people, but damn if it isn't uncomfortable as hell going there...they don't use any furniture other than tables (no chairs or sofas) and sitting on the floor really gets to me after a few hours. Add to that five smelly dogs that poop and pee everywhere, combined with freezing cold weather (and no insulation or central heating, yeah!), and you're in for one wild ride! :-\

I spent most of the time playing my PSP on their huge HDTV, with a lot of Outrun 2006, Ridge Racers 2, Patapon, and various emulators...the in laws weren't even home; we went up there so my wife could use their printer for hundreds of new years' cards. I kept asking WHY we couldn't just take the printer back to our place and do it there. *sigh*
