I loved VF3 back in the day. It aged horribly though.
-
arcade or dreamcast
-
Arcade, but I did import a DC so I can play VF3 at home. What a shitty port that was.
-
yeah i only played VF3TB on dc
-
fake total. they look like glitchy shots from a model 3 emulator, or shots in which certain rendering features have been disabled
-
I don't think those are off Saturn and here's why.
A long time ago I talked to someone who was at Sega of Japan from the Genesis through early Dreamcast days. He told me that there WAS a running Saturn proto of VF3. It held 30fps and was Jacky vs. Aoi (I could be wrong but I think it was those two). The only stage available was the Chinese rooftop. It supposedly looked pretty good, all things considered.
-
Considering how Shenmue Saturn looked, I wonder how VF3 Saturn looked.
-
those screenshots are too clean; those are direct buffer grabs. fake
-
it's super fake -- those are bad emu shots for vf3 arcade. look at the feet; that geometry is well beyond the saturn's abilities.
-
those textures are glitchy as fuck. the whole thing stinks of bad model 3 emu.
-
I remember hearing stories of a Dreamcast engine "Saturn filter" for Shenmue... just wonder if this is something similar or, of course, just totally fake?
The arcade VF3tb - i bought it for $6 under the understanding that it was unreturnable.
This was prior to me understanding the true pain of garbage disposal in Japan :(
Ow just ow.
I nearly bought a $150 XT combo just to get the model-M Japanese-layout IBM keyboard. But it woulda cost me another $200 to throw away the monitor and case. ;_;
