i'm really only interested in this movie as a curiosity

because i've heard so much about it and the criterion dvd has been out of print forever

The acting is so well done in the movie, by voice and movement, I do not speeka the italiano but the manner in which she carries herself sells the acting. This movie is a total headfuck.  Do not look into this abyss. 

This is a well-crafted, thought-provoking film. This is what America would be like if Ron Paul called the shots.

to go horribly off topic, did you watch The Leopard from Criterion?  If so, what did you think?

it's not worth a purchase, i don't think, but it's worth a rental

it's about the end of the monarchy in italy and the rise of the republic seen through the eyes of a prince of italy.  it's really quite interesting as i had no idea about the time period and picked it up because it was a criterion movie i hadn't yet seen
