Super Castlevania IV says hi, classic Castlevania is hot. I mean I do prefer Metroidvanias but classic is still cool

Dracula X Remake sucks. Even Maria can't save this shit game.
I'm gonna cheat and get a save file that has everything unlocked so I can play goddamn SotN without playing this turd.

i've tried again and again to get into castlevania classic and metroidvania and i just can't. it doesn't really hold my interest, which is strange because it's basically a side scrolling sandbox game based on exploration and i enjoy doing that in other games.

CastleVania Rondo De Blood remake on PSP is amazingly awesome and I say if you cant play it you just simply cannot be a productive membr of society.
Also why are you callin this "Classic CastleVania"? That would be CastleVania, Simons Quest, Draculas Curse and Haunted Castle.
Rondo De Blood didnt come out till the 16 bit era or so and symphon of the night is the only good metroid vania from the saturn/PSX era..
Simply put - Icant see how anyone could think SoTN is more engaging than Rondo De Blood....I can beat SoTN with a blindfold on. Its a cool game - but its pussyvania for sure. Its onl savin grace is the challenging R. Belmont unlockable mode...when you can beat Rondo De Blood, and SoTN with R.Belmont then your reputation can be somewhat de-shamed....

I decided to just unlock it straight. I don't have a mini usb cord to hook up to my pc so I was pretty much forced to. I haven't played Rondo remake since I unlocked SotN.

I played Blood of Rondo via emulator and it rocks. I'm a newer Castlevania fan and I enjoyed it.
So whats yer problem with this PSP game?
SuperCastleVania 4 is far from a metroid vania and classic castlevania....
Anyway - I dont want to argue - im so sleeeepy.... enjoy the game!

A shit game is CastleVania: Dracula X for SNES.
It and Circle of the Moon are the worst shitfests I have played in the series...I even like the N64 games better.

I don't understand the love either. The game doesn't look very fun to play. The music is fantastic though.

Symphony of the Night is the best of the Metroidvania games.
The rest of them suck. Although Dawn of Sorrow is probably the only Metroidvania post SOTN that is worth playing. The rest, especially Harmony of Dissonance and Portrait of Ruin, was just garbage.

How can you say DoS is good but Portrait isnt'? Portrait is probably the best Metroidvania for the difficulty and level variety alone.

Portrait got repetitive, but it was fun. I think I like DoS a bit better.

Eh, I don't know. I joined into the Castlevania franchise with Dawn of Sorrow being the first Castlevania game I've ever played. I never played AoS, and I don't really feel like it. DoS was just really easy to get into and, well, fun.
I'm not a big fan of the two character system they have for PoR, and the paintings were :snore
