Horrible game...
I made it to the last level, mostly because it was a rent, and I have a habit of getting everything I can out of a rent before I return it, no matter what the quality is. But I couldn't get past the last level of The Darkness because the game is so horribly broken. It basically locked me in this small boss chamber, and saved, leaving no way to escape. Getting locked in a small boss chamber isn't so bad usually, but that's only because in most cases there's some ammo lying around that I can use to kill the boss. In the case of The Darkness, the chamber was empty, leaving me to fight with whatever I entered with, which in my case was nothing, making me totally defenseless in the boss battle, which made made beating the game impossible...
So while I never like The Darkness even in the beginning, my experience with the game ended on the lowest note possible... even for $20, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
lair > darkness
lair > darkness
Yeah, no. Lair is one of the worst games of this generation. The Darkness is just on the shady side of mediocre. Lair is worse than Kane and Lynch, which is saying a lot.
the LAST one :rofl
also the one where you merge with the darkness again -- also :rofl

I honestly believe that LAIR > The darkness.
LAIR is hilariously bad. The darkness is just bad in all the annoying ways. LAIR is like your mother punching you in the face, while the Darkness is like someone punching your mother in the face.
jackie walks soooo slow :(
