what's the best lcd monitor i can buy for roughly $1000? i'd like something in the field of 24" to 30", and i will oddly favor 1680x1050 over 1900x1200, since less pixels = less fill rate required for games at the native rez. HELP ME EB PC VIDEOPHILES. where the fuck is smooth groove when i need him?

Yeah, it's a higher rez, but more importantly it's huge and gorgeous. Have you ever been to the apple store and seen the 30-inch cinema display? Same panel. Highly, HIGHLY recommended if you have the money to blow. No use spending cash on fancy speakers and such. Check the testimonials out. I've seen these in person and they just kind of blow your mind.
That 22-incher has a nifty design, but my god it's not worth the ~900 dollar premium over standard 22-inch monitors by any imagination. You could get two Dell Ultrasharp 24" widescreens and dual monitor for less than that damn thing!
-
fuck dual monitor
-
That's absurdly expensive for a 22" 1680x1050 LCD. If I had your requirements I'd look at 27" screens since they are quite a bit bigger and the resolution requirements aren't too bad (1920x1200).
I want a 30" 2560x1600 for a grand. I'd probably need two 8800GTs to run WoW at 60 fps, though.
-
Dual monitor is awesome for coding. I want that bonerific Dell Crystal tho :drool
-
i don't code anything other than directx demos and the occasional web app for my brother at home. i use that pc for gaming, and i want a native rez appropriate for an 8800GTX where 30+ frame rates @ high settings aren't at risk.
-
Dual monitor is also useful for video editing. At least I think so.
BUT FUCK SHIT THAT MONITOR MAKES ME MOIST IN MY CROTCHAL REGION
-
That monitor is overkill.
But it's also pure awesome.
-
dual-monitor rocks for compositing/post production.
dual 20s :bow
