I just moved in a few days ago and have not had the time or the resources to get a proper chair. I've been using the following and after extensive time in it today, I'm beginning to feel the kind of pain that no words can describe. It's like the pain of eating five Famous Bowls and a gallon of orange juice in one sitting. Behold the horror:

epic zoom
try throwing yourself on that bed every couple of hours
-
It's the only thing keeping mine back from locking up, Powerslave.
-
Those are the type of chairs that make me leave BBQs and weddings early. Pulling the mattress up to the desk, then standing on it with your knees to use the computer would be a MUCH better set up
-
Why don't you put that pillow on the chair for your back?
-
I tried - it just falls through or constantly slips. I tried using a pillow on the bottom and I think it made it WORSE.
-
loooool that chair is horribly designed. Look how it's ass is sticking out. Leaves no room to sit down and put something behind your back :lol
-
if this was GAF that chair would be the new photoshop material.
-
It's just a full. I don't have my platform yet. :'(
-
youre gonna have a bleeding butt from that
-
I fear it is too late for me, MAF. :'(
-
I thought you were going to post this chair:

-
I guess a platform bed is kind of redundant, since it's already laying on hard wood floors versus hard wood slats.
-
i gotta say, it looks very comfy in there.
-
The bed rawks. When I furnish the place over the next two weeks, I'll post a walkthrough. I love this place. Furthermore, it's so great to finally live on my own. Nobody but myself! Free to masturbate with the bedroom door open!
-
:o
-
Mattress on the floor, Willco? You can do better than that.
-
Oh and Willco, how old must one be to work at the EBGames? 17?
Yes.
Mattress on the floor, Willco? You can do better than that.
Give me some time! The dollar amount to get this place was pretty high, plus I was paying rent and whatnot for my old place through January. I'm a dirty poor.
-
Actually Willco, my chair might be even worse than yours. My computer chair doesn't have a back. It broke off when I fell backwards in my chair last year.
-
you should've gotten a stool.
or this might be kind of distinguished mentally-challenged, but maybe you could move your entire computer/tv/other stuff to the ground in a way so that you can use it easily from the bed?
-
man I would pay money to see Viggo fucking Naomi Hotts doggystyle
-
tvc, you are getting a new chair for your b-day. come tuesday, we are going to staples. your chair HORRIFIES. even a cenobite would not consign a foolish sack of flesh and nerves to such torment.
-
But I like sitting on the stump poking up where the back of the chair used to be connected to the bottom.
-
that is between you and your prolapsed rectum!
-
Is this part of "The Revolution"?
-
lol you have a redskins pillow
what a loser
-

And my sheets are burgundy and gold, so you shut your whore mouth!
-
make your bed.

How the fuck do you spend so much money, yet don't buy a comfortable chair?
-
who needs a bed? mattresses :rock

If I could afford it I would buy one of these babies.

I've never sat in a chair more comfy than these.

4 at the office and 2 at home!
BTW you can get a competent AEON chair now for around $400.
-
still lolling at Willco's chair :lol
I can just imagine him sitting there
-
I dont think its a real picture - it has to be a joke.
No way Wilco is that poor.

eBay you mean?
-
naw - I got a local office supply co who delivers at that price.
Real aeons too with the ergo pad and the cable adjusters.
We have ordered ALOT of equipment from them tho - perhaps the buying power is helping bring my price down....
Isnt list just $600?....even at $600 the chair is well worth it - I am of course sitting in one as I type.
-
Man... I'm sorry I ever messed w/ you Willco. :( I understand now.
Low income housing ftl. My bad. :(
Mad props for every grueling moment you maintain in that horrendous chair.
-
Its reign of terror will end this weekend when I go to Staples.
Also, I don't think low income housing has hard wood floors or remodeled bathroom/kitchens. :P
-
He just moved for chrissakes! That's difficult even when you have money.
-
My room has looked just like that for the last 6 months. I packed to move out... without having anywhere to move to.
-
Crystal Gemini recommended me the greatest chair evar!
it cost a pretty penny. but after i bought one for the house, i got another for my office too.
-
I should get a non-awful chair for my home. My $50 Office Depot jobbie is rapidly disintegrating.

Check out this one...
I mean if youre going for a look youre going to have to go all in. Also that chair is bad for your legs, get something else. Hard flat seat chairs eventually cut circulation to your legs over time and cause back problems. The general rule is to buy a tall-back chair if you suspect you'll be sitting for long periods of times, buy a short-back (task chair) if you plan on only being at the desk long enough to do a 'task'. There's also mid-back chairs which are a nice compromise because they keep your posture straight like a task chair but are better for longer periods of SIT
Might I suggest Think by Steelcase:

Sustainable. Cradle-to-Cradle. Ergonomic. User-friendly.
or
Aeron by Herman Miller:

the Think chair is effin incredible and if it's anything to go by, the Aeron would be even better.
-
I like the look of the Think--how would I find somewhere cheapass to buy it local?

Whatever, duders. I actually prefer sleeping on just a mattress and boxspring with no frame, but I can't right now or I would have 50 lbs. of dog all over my bed all the time. :(

I'm not speaking about you. You are awesome in my book. Raoul Duke is the great (not being sarcastic).

List price of an Aeron Chair is about $750+ unless you get discounts as a distributor and/or designer. Also, though a lot of people like the Aeron Chair because of the prestige that follows Herman Miller (and not that HM isn't awesome - they kick all sorts of ass) I still prefer the Think Chair. It's comfortable, ergonomic, sustainable and and stylish. One feature that Think has that Aeron doesn't though is that it is USER FRIENDLY. To really use an Aeron Chair properly literally takes a tutorial session by a HM rep. For the Think to work properly - you sit in it. That's why it's called the Think chair.
Patel - I may not be the best person to ask about the Think chair. ;) See italics above. :P DISCOUNTS.
Mups - Yay! :D
