Didn't include movie/animation spin-offs, though those ALL blow.  Advent Chicken, Legend of teh Crystals, FF Unlimited, Final Fantasy The Spics Within...they are all beyond awful.

Hell, I'll totally grant you that KH may not be your thang. That's cool. But Mystic Quest does not suck. It gets bonus gravy cookies for having a butt-rock soundtrack. And being better than that whorish FF12.

Crystal Chronicles was ass single player, but a blast when you could actually get four people with four fucking GBAs. I hear the DS one fixed some shit at least, but I haven't gotten to it yet.

DQ games on your cell phones are just ports, tho.  And not even good ports.

I'm guessing you played Mystic Quest when you were a little kid and have nostalgia for it.  It is a bad game, trust me.

You mean the Musicians of Hamlet one? Right? That was pretty distinguished mentally-challenged because you had to hit the instrument before marker got to the point. It was kinda weird, yeah.

Yeah. Actually, watching South Park in Japanese with a chick was a great way to get some good lines. "Searching for the clitoris." = Win.

Saitama's next to Tokyo.  I'm like thirty minutes away from the big city.  There's apparently a coffee shop in Tokyo called Cafe de Bore where all the Evilboreans hang out. Groo and dcharlie go there often to scope out hot chicks.

I may or may not be exaggerating about the last two statements.

God, I hate Japanese RPGs.  I tried FFXII, you know.  I did.  That Super Robot Wars RPG coming actually piques my interest tho

It's pretty damn nice here (in late spring until late late fall, anyway) and you can see pretty much all the big stuff in just a day or two, I think.  Kanazawa is good if you want to get away from big cities yet still be in a city and not out in the middle of nowhere, and it has some really, really good seafood.  Also if Onsens are your thing, the various Wakura Onsen resorts are some of the best in the entire country.

I'm in the ass end of Kansai (Nara) so Tokyo is like OMGWTF away from me. Osaka's better from what I know, anyway.  :D
Kanazawa really has no reason for me to go, but I just loved the hell out of being there a few years back.
If there is a Tokyo meet up though, I would be down. I've got 18 days of vacation to burn. :O

And I wouldn't expect FF12 to do anything but give you a burning sensation when you piss. Fuck, I hate that game.

They should really just hard-cap the percentage meter at 98% or so period.  Frustrating completionists is a worthwhile goal in itself.
