I just got a great coupon for EBGames and Gamestop thats B1G1 on used Xbox games. I figured when I go up on Monday to get Cars, Lego Star Wars, and Nicktoons I might as well get a few old Xbox games. I'm going to try and get KOTOR but I can't decide what other 3 I should get. Any Ideas?
Unrelated: I got Bioshock today and I'm afraid to play it. I am a huge little girl.

SSX3.
Also:
Chronicles of Riddick. Best single player story based fps ever. Although, they're remaking it for next gen, so you may wanna hold off.
-
definitely go with panzer dragoon. short game, but high production values.
I'm about to play jade empire, I'll tell you how that is tomorrow.
ninja gaiden black would also be good for this deal because it's so expensive. I settled for ninja dog in the first stage lol.
-
Fable Platinum Hits version or whatever is that has extra content. Worth getting for cheap.
I shit you not, but Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball.
One of the most relaxing games ever.
Top Spin
Outrun 2
Jade Empire (only get this for cheap)
omg xbox owns
-
I think most, if not all of them do. otogi 1 and 2 don't though. :-\
-
advent rising
indigo prophecy
-
NB:B does have an easier setting. It is Ninja Dog.
-
I dunno. I never play those games on easy mode
-
Why is Ninja Gaiden Black $30 freaking dollars?
Because it's worth it. You haven't played it yet?
:(
Question: Whats the big diffrence between Ninja Gaiden and NG:Black?
Hmm, different menu, Black is a bit more polished, the original has a better cover. I've got both for completionists sake. Black has the lunar (staff) and nunchukau from the beginning on hard. Overall, get Black, it is the complete package.
Oh, and never never never play it on easy. If you have to do this you don't know how to play the game and you fail at life. Ninja Gaiden throws combos to you at a reasonably steady pace anyway so it's not that hard to learn and by the end you will kick ass.
-
Everything else people mentioned is kind of crappy in comparison. I don't know where your looking, but last winter I got the game for $20 new @ EB. Just but it, regardless.
-
yeah I just started playing Ninja Gaiden myself, fucking incredible game, looks amazing for last gen, almost looks next (current) gen. wouldve been the best game ever when it came out
-
It's okay.
-
wtf

gta is fun all the time and i never bored of it. NG is like a really good DMC1 rip off except not nearly as good and simplified in many ways.
people say it's hard but it's really only hard because the enemies kill you in like 2 hits and save points are like 30 fucking minutes away. It's not like the game has enemies with complex attack patterns. No, they're by the numbers and basic.

Speaking of GTA...I think AC really raised the bar in terms of creating a living city. I'm curious to see how GTA4's holds up.

me too, but i think it's a bit unfair to compare gta and its ilk to assassin's creed. ac is mainly made up of just people, and few horses. GTA and other games like it mostly consist of cars and extremely tall sky scrapers and have far more things going on. I don't think we'll see a gta like game on AC's scale until the end of the generation.

::)
he's black, best to just leave him be
-
Yeah the platforming sucks, and oh god the item collecting is horrible.
But that old "block, roll, flying swallow" shit is so lame, no wonder some people didn't enjoy the game. Just relax.
-
But for it was true for most of the game. that was my experience at least. especially when it came to those damn ninjas with the dynamite.
-
himu, you obviously haven't played black. they made the enemies able to counter the flying swallow combo. how the fuck do you compare it to DMC though?
particle, there were a lot of better things to NG: Black but most noticeably they balanced the combos more so you actually have to learn how to play. if you're getting any version, get black.
ok, himu, you're AC comparison is fucking distinguished mentally-challenged. just horses and people? considering the whole point of the game is to assassinate and escape, what more do you want? it also has actual AI on the NPC's. GTA is designed around looking realistic while offering unrealistic things to do and thus the reason it sparked the modern repetitive sandboxy bullshit (not meaning to take this off-topic). AC is an actual idea about how to create a living world. while it's obvious it has some videogame conventions, it actually manages to fuck with your mind in some parts.
-
yeah it's true. I own black but haven't played it because I played the original version.
How is that a distinguished mentally-challenged point? How exactly can you compare 12th century to the 21st? What AI on the npcs? In Assassin's Creed, all I have to do is climb some building and watch the people follow me. I will knock them off the roof and they'll continue doing this charade until they die. The AI in AC is fucking hilarious.
-
it's pretty stupid to climb a building when there's a guard nearby who's after you. especially if you just killed a target since they are often surrounded by archers. and what does the time period matter? you shoot a rocket at 20 respawning cops in GTA while you actually run through people (drunks, vigilantes, etc.) in Assassin's Creed. there's a whole other level of polish in AC and that makes the atmosphere different. it's a sandbox game where you feel that you have an actual REALISTIC job. I can understand that GTA has it's strengths but you can't say that you might see a GTA with AC level detail. that would make it worse since you want to have that free-roaming-causing-mayhem gameplay in GTA type games. in AC, I'd want a few things done perfectly.
just my $0.02.
