I don't know what the hell it is, but right when it gets to be around 5-6 weeks left of the school year, I start getting really fucking depressed.
This hit anyone else? Maybe it's just I'm doing well and I want it to be over... ;( But now all these tests and projects and shit are coming at me....
ehh I'm just bitchin

ITS THAT FEELING OF DREAD! Dont worry, after you get out of school and have a 40 hour job you'll still feel that lol :(
-

I actually loved working my 40 for the week. I hate classes so much more....
I love classes right when they start.... but then about 2 months in I get so fucking tired of it.

When I worked retail I had decided to go back to school for another degree and going back was really hellish. I think its because I knew the job I currently had wouldnt sustain me, so I felt like I HAD to do well.
I mean if I went to school now I doubt it would be so bad since i know I dont have to worry about my current job being lame.
-
Yo.
Not really stressed, 'cause this semester's not too work-heavy for me, but yeah, not feeling all that energetic lately.
I'm taking a Russian art course, and it's boring as hell. Reading Kandinsky's rambling about "The Spiritual in Art" is making my head spin. NONE OF IT MAKES A GAWDAMMED BIT OF SENSE.
-
hah.. I see what you mean...
yeah I've been pretty down about the whole "doing really well" thing too.
I had straight As, but everything besides my math classes have gone down to Bs... and I just don't have the drive to bring them back up.
I really want that 4.0 for the resume... but I think I'm just gonna say fuck it and accept ~3.5
-
10 years later, I still dream about the academic terrors of college. :(
-
4.0 doesn't mean shit on a resume. There are two things that mean shit on a resume: 1) the name of your school, and 2) where you've interned. 1) counts for far far less than 2).

damn.

I hate writing papers and essays. Really that's the only thing I find difficult. Well, really it's just the philosophy papers I dread writing so it looks like I picked the wrong major.
LOL, yeah, 3.5.
I <3 history papers. It's these two damn Russian lit credits I have to fit in this year that are making me want to pull my hair out.

I'm studying for my accounting exam right now. I pretty much go to school all year round. :spin
And Drinky is right about the resume thing. Your GPA pretty much means dick, especially in the long run.
-
Self taught student yes, I read books and take exams/certifications.
-
I don't get depressed toward the end of semisters or school years. I'm normally tired out by then. Currently, I'm more concerned with a cold/sinus thing that won't go away and my trouble keeping focus because of it. Various things seem to have dropped off, like my memory and already bad handwriting. Today my geo prof said that my handwriting gave him a migraine headache and made him want to vomit.
-
I can never get into school, no matter how much I tell myself that it's important.
-
I love school. School loves me. :elf

I'm in the thick of it now. I gotta write a paper on British decolonization policy and then about Arab trading in the coasts of Africa -- both of which I know next to nothing about. Going to start research today...
Then I've got group projects in both Managerial and Financial Accounting -- ugh.
On top of that I'm working 20 hours a week for this Tax Software company which is good money, but eats up time like woah..
Then I got this side project with this guy running regressions whose breathing down my neck to hurry the fuck up. Damn dude I'm a student give me a break.
Also Im choreographing a dance that needs to be presented in two weeks time. I haven't taught it yet cause these kids don't show up to practice. UGH
I'm tired. I'm already planning to fly down to Florida for winter break and get some needed R&R

Yeah, I'm pretty bummed out. The semester started very well for me. It's my first year here, and I did great on the first exams. Except for my economics class. I don't know how I did on the first test lol; haven't been back to that class in a couple weeks. But there's a test in it tomorrow so I gotta cram later today.
In my math class, I'm sitting pretty, which is suprising since I suck at math. I've got an A in the class right now, and I've gotten A's on all three tests so far.
In my business class I'm getting burned out. I just don't feel like going to class. After missing a couple days, I went in last Thursday and saw that a test was being given. I didn't know a test was scheduled, and I certainly didn't study, but I passed the test lol. I thought I failed it, but when I picked up the test yesterday it looked good. Now all I need to do is turn in some late assignments I was too lazy to do. To make things worse, I'm in a group. So we have group assignments and shit, which I hate; I prefer working alone, because that way if I fuck up it's all my fault. I hate losing points because of other people not doing their stuff. But, the group members are pretty nice and hard working. Plus one is pretty hot (Iranian I think).
Business Law...lol. The class is on a pretty high curve due to the difficulty. Many people were complaining about the first test, but you've got to be fucking distinguished mentally-challenged not to realize that a 20 POINT CURVE is a good thing. There were people who actually got a fucking 60 on the test, curve included! I don't think the rest of the tests will be curved that much, but come on: that's a gimmie A. If you just get a C on the test without the curve, it will bump you up to an A (which is what happened to me). I went to the teacher's office to check my grade and he told me I had the highest score in the class. Now I'm aiming for an 80, which would be bumped to a 100 if the same curve is used :lol :lol :lol

have fun now because working full time is even worse (from what I have been told, not personal experience ;))
