Title: Why did Microsoft make the Arcade and Halo 3 SE SKUs?
Post by: Howard Alan Treesong on January 15, 2008, 05:49:18 PM
2 weeks later and I still don't have a 360 because /all anybody has is those worthless SKUs no human being could ever possibly want/. WHY.

arcade - to replace my broken 360 at the cheapest price point.

halo 3 - make use of the Halo fanbase.

Multiple SKUs are proving to be a disaster for the next gen, especially worthless ones like this Halobox

They're good at taking up floor space at Best Buys across the US.

Actually, Legendary Halo 3 SKUs are even better at that.

yes, but they're NOT RESTOCKING until they're sold through. so because nobody wants them, their limitedness is having long-term effects

I do, and they're continually sold out of both

Halo 3 was nothing but a cash grab, but the Arcade was an excellent choice. You should be asking why they made Core.

I got the last premium at Fry's today. Hooray! My account transferred over fine and I was able to redownload my arcade games without issues. I also got Omega Five.

Looks like the year of PS3 is over!

Arcade is what my replacement will be.  I don't need another 120 gig drive.

I had to turn in my old drive when I got my BB credit, so no drive swap. if your HDD melts and you just want a new machine, go Arcade!

do you have your saves backed up on a mem card or what? that would be utter utter tragedy for me...

yes, I copied my saves and most importantly my profiles to a mem card first. so I didn't lose my 50 hour Blue Dragon save on the last dungeon, thank Christ...
