It was meh. Not quite worth my $8.
There was some creative use of imagery as Sophia Coppola does have a nack for bringing new insight on existing settings. Personally, I feel the work was done for her on this one as Versailles is a very beautiful building on its own.
Watching this movie was like watching Amadeus high on pop rocks and Mountain Dew. Go figure.
I give this movie two elvish nerds out of five:

Yeah, this looks terrible beyond belief -- some chick tried to drag me to see it, but I decided tho go see THE DEPARTED again. You should too. :salutes Scorsese
How'd you get in. You are 16!

Nothing to do with this film, but speaking of recent releases, The Prestige was woefully mediocre. On paper I should have loved the movie. In reality, no so much. Its a shallow and superficial movie through and through. If twists and one-upsmanship is your thing, go see it. If well crafted storytelling and at least a single character to root for isnt, dont go. Nolan's worst movie yet. Ugh. 6/10.
