Inventory at GameStop is a breeze compared to inventory at Target - that was a nightmare. A nightmare!
But you're far more accountable for your stock at GameStop than you are at Target. It's just a matter of business.

I was in a Gamestop the other night and the girl started crying as she rung me up. Seems that she was getting sacked because of some missing inventory. Didn't get much on the details.

Wasn't a manager - we don't even get fired for going on impact (having awful inventory shrink percentage) two times in a row necessarily, anymore. But if I had a keyholder or suspected a part-timer of either stealing or being negligent in terms of inventory, I wouldn't hesitate to let them go.
But I wouldn't have them ring people up afterwards. What an idiot manager. You hear a lot of horror stories and I got to wonder that out of the 5,000 some odd stores in the continental United States, how many are run by incompentent individuals?
Inventory is usually once after Christmas, in January or February, and sometime in the summer. Maybe one more depending on bad results from either one.

Also, technically, I didn't misspell it since I said it started with "I" and ended with "ventory". There very well could be letters in between, I just opted to tell you the beginning and ending parts of that particular word. So ha!
