Wow, this was pretty bad.  Spidey as a creepy voyeur? That's not a good look for him.

I have to watch all superhero movies.  My family is predictable in this regard.

Also, Mary Jane is an even bigger slut in this than she was in Raimi's movies.  She actually has sex with Spidey without knowing who he is.

I swear I've read this before. The bridge sex scene sounds familiar.

Also Cameron has no fucking idea what Spider-Man is all about.

To be fair, the original Koepp draft for Spider-Man prior to when Raimi was hired was a downright abomination and one of the worst blockbuster scripts to be peddled around Hollywood.  Raimi was basically hired with the job to work with the script as is, and how he managed to edit and re-write it into something actually watachable (shut the fuck up, TVC) is kind of amazing.  Any kind of sense he had with the series was kind of lost after the sequel, though.

Oh, dude, I liked the original Spider-Man movie a lot.  But this James Cameron thing is pure shit.

i remember reading about this from the bullpen bullitens in marvel comics

he was going to do something with tom cruise and the whole spiderman thing was going to be metaphor for puberty with spider webs as nocturnal emissions etc
