Damn man, I just woke up. Give me a chance. And some aspirin.  :-\ It's hang over Saturday.

hehe  - sorry to hear of your cranium crunch :(

All this thinking of Throbbing Gristle this morning let me to their UK web site where I was surprised to see that TGV was on sale!

It came out to 98 GBP with shipping - but this is my megaton video purchace of the year for sure.... just look at this loveliness (objectionable)

Quote
THE VIDEO ARCHIVE OF THROBBING GRISTLE - Deluxe 7 disc DVD Collection
THE VIDEO ARCHIVE OF THROBBING GRISTLE

Limited Edition of 2000

The set will be numbered and includes a 60 page book

This Deluxe 7 disc DVD Collection showcases the phenomenon that was, and is now, Throbbing Gristle Live in Performance.

Featuring 10 full shows, most never-before-seen, ranging from the fascinating beginnings in 1979, by way of the classic videos of Oundle and Heathen Earth, and including the notorious RE~TG “re-grouping” 23 years later at London’s Astoria Theatre in Spring 2004, as well as three more recent remarkable concerts, now available with a variety of newly mastered audio tracks including 5.1, binaural and conventional stereo.

The Collection includes, from 1979-81, shows at: Oundle School / Recording Heathen Earth at the Industrial Records Studios, Martello St. London / Sheffield University / Rafters Club, Manchester /The Lyceum, London / Kezar Pavilion, San Francisco plus Derek Jarman’s famous short film made as a tribute to TG: “Psychic Rally in Heaven” London

From 2004-05: A short film of the Cabinet Gallery Exhibition “TG24” by Andrew Wheatley Rare footage of TG rehearsing at Mute Studios in February 2004 Shows at: RE~TG at the Astoria Theatre, All Tomorrow’s Parties at Camber Sands, Turin, Italy (both early and late shows!)

Please note: This Collection is made available for purposes of the historical record, rather than as conventional ’concert’ footage.
The shows from 1979-81 were shot on a single VHS hand-held camera, often in poor lighting conditions, reflecting TG’s guerrilla approach to live presentation, technology and documentation.

Postage will be via secure and insured means.

Tracklisting:

- THE VIDEO ARCHIVE OF THROBBING GRISTLE - Deluxe 7 disc DVD Collection

Its limited to 2,000 copies so I suggest any TG fans getty-up and order a copy.

VAL KILMER :bow

I want an awesome pic of Val Kilmer from The Ghost and the Darkness to change my avatar, but I can't find any online. :-\ I guess I'll get one from Heat or Tombstone.

Tombstone will always be Kilmer's best role ever. So I support that.

This is true.

I was just going to make a Kilmer thread.  I'm watching the saint right now.  What is he up to?  I haven't seen him in a movie for years.

He was good in both Kiss Kiss Bang Bang and Spartan.

I wanted an avatar from The Ghost and The Darkness because he looked so badass in some shots. Bloodied and pissed off in late 1800's/early 1900's clothes.

you can play it solo.

Yeah, but the thing is, and this also sort of applies to boardgames online, like in XBLA, if I am playing a solo board game, there is most definitely better solo gaming to be had.

But let me know how that is.  AS a Lovecraft whore, I find it very tempting every time I see it.  Which is frequently.

no, he just collects -- if he puts more than 15 minutes with any of those rotk games, my mind will be blown harder than a parent chaperone at junpei's next birthday party

tis true - its like i like to keep the humidor loaded up....every now and then i will unlock the library and take a look in there....hmmm might want to play (fucking whatever) !

Take it out - unwrap it - sample the stock and either play it till end, shelve it or banish it. I like the experiences tho.

One day ill have more time to finish more stuff. Right now im just getting ready for the market crash!

ITs pretty cool actually. I liked having alot of different games to play when I was younger too. I harassed the hell out of my parents to buy me games till i could buy my own...
