is this good? i hear fumoffu is nothing but off the wall crazy stuff should i start with that? i'll give the first series a shot.

I actually didnt like it that much after the first half was over. Once the ha ha serious dude in HS was over it turned into a fairly mediocre mecha anime. I never saw fumouffu but ive seen the cover art for the dvds and coupling that with the type of people who recommend it, im not terribly interested.

I agree with MAF. I've only read the manga, but Full Metal Panic starts as this really funny fish-out-of-water type situation with the main dude with the military obsession, and then just turns into an average mecha series. It's not bad, but, y'know, not worthy of all the praise it gets.
The manga has really gorgeous artwork, I'll give it that.

Sagara Sousuke is perhaps the best anime lead character ever. Even better than Kenshin. This guy is awesome.

The fan service in it isnt that bad and is at least within context. Like I said, I liked it until it got all mech in my face, and there's better anime for mechs.

almost every i have watched has been pirated. that is a lot of anime. if it's good and i like i'll buy. the good thing about pirating anime is that you get to watch the shows months, even years before they come out here. beck is out in the us. all i have to do now is wait for a damn boxset and it will be mine.

Bricks are fine, but I like keeping up with new stuff. Waiting for Gundam Seed in a brick took forever. Plus the new bricks are pretty ghetto. I miss the days when brick sets had some production values.
