God I loathe this program.  What SHOULD I be using?

Same here.  It's pretty straightforward, too.  Well, for most things.  I can generally figure out how to do things without asking internet gays.

Hmm, I'll have to try this soundforge out. I just had to downgrade a few songs so they were under 10 MB and I used Goldwave. I also spliced a couple of songs together a while back with it. I didn't think it was that bad, but I've never dealt with any other sound editing programs.

wow, i forgot all about soundforge.  I used to love it.  I havent used it in like 10 years, thanks for reminding me haha.

Audacity isn't bad, but it's no Soundforge.  A good free option.
