BENT MY UMBRELLA CLEAR THE FUCK OVER SOME GUSTS WERE EVEN STRONG ENOUGH TO PUSH *ME* BACK I'VE FISHED IN BODIES OF WATER SMALLER THAN THE PUDDLES ON UNIVERSITY DRIVE

Funny story: I was smoking a cigarette outside with these winds.

You sure as hell never got that cigarette to light in the rain I was in last night. Horizontal rain sucks ass. I had to hold up my bent-all-to-hell umbrella just to see my car in the stadium parking lot :(

I had the same happen to me last night too.  The wind got really bad and knocked out the power to my apartment.  It sucked because it was flicking on/off for 2 hours (in 10 minute intervals) and eventually shut off later on (for 5 hours).  It sucked because my apartment became an icebox due to no heat (My heat is electric).

Mana Knight was complaining about the loss of power in his apartment, but I was just saying that I was outside being hit with this wind and rain.
