Awesome scene. It's funny because until then you think Phyllis is a really soft-spoken, wholesome-type lady... Pam's reaction is in line with yours. I must reiterate that I love love love Pam.

Season 2 is GOLD.

Season 3 starts off AWESOME but each following episode since the premiere has been a little bit suckier.

I loved season 1 personally, but that was my first exposure to The Office. If I had seen the UK version first, I'm sure I wouldn't have liked the US version as much. My friend is the other way around, he watched the UK series after the US and was lukewarm to it, much like people who watched the UK version first. The main issue people had was that it copied the UK version to a T, not because the actors were bad or anything.
