Yep, I said it.
Who's gonna argue?

Halo is an awesome MP game. That's where the emphasis has always been.
-
Halo is excellent. Halo 2 was decent.
-
Halo one besides the flood awesome
Halo two besides the arbieter and the crazy stuff towards the ending mediocer
Halo three on earth with huge wars going on and crazy shit with coop fuck awesome
-
I loved the difference between the arbiter and human missions. The enemy's were much more balanced since you had two different characters to split them up with.
-
Halo has good multiplayer.
-
The original is one of the best games I've ever played. The second one...kind of sucks.

add some points to your argument first.
-
Whats to argue? I have a copy of both games, I enjoy them both. They both sold like a gajillion copies. Whhaaadever.
-
Not as good as Metroid Prime, I take it? ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) x a gajillion
-
I got bored of the single player in Halo 2 when it switched to that alien thing.

Awww, look, the ninthing doesn't like Halo. Absolutely shocking.

I actually liked the Arbiter and the levels with him.

Yes, I would be willing to support that statement and I actually liked Halo 2 more then 1.

Who are you, and should I give a shit what you think?
I love plenty of FPS, the GOOD ones.
I also own a 360 so stfu :)
-
I think, for the most part, the people that prefer console FPSes, or those that don't play them on PCs, like Halo. The hardcore PC FPS players like me didn't really care for the Halo games.
-
i love FPS on consoles and PC's, but that does not change the game. you can play Halo with a mouse and keyboard on the PC as well.

I'm the juggernaut, bitch.
Sad to say, but there are no console FPSes better than Halo 1, in single player. And there are none better than its sequel for online multiplayer.
I might give a nudge to the Timesplitters series, in general, for offline multiplayer. Well, at least an honorable mention.
-
Timesplitters 2 multi was amazing. throw in the level editor and bots, one thing that i say Bungie dropped the ball on IMHO.

Bungie has done an excellent job of making a competitive console FPS that is fun and accessible to almost anyone. It may not be "OMG hardcore", but games like Counter-Strike have such a deep learning curve they leave little room for experimentation. Halo on the other hand is just about having balls out fun online. It is the exception rather than the rule, unfortunately. There ought to be more online console FPS of its caliber.
As for the single player, I for one wasn't all that thrilled with the arbiter levels and the Library from the first game. The game could have benefited greatly from online co-op, but the campaign is still better than a majority of FPS campaigns on both PC and console due to the excellent vehicles, weapons and enemy AI in Bungie's arsenal. Bring on Halo 3.

More importantly, he's the pimp who gets Jennifer Connolly to do ass to ass in Requiem for a Dream.
