Infamous - is this another crackdown clone?
It's Sucker Punch's free-roaming superhero title. I can see the Crackdown comparisons from what little we've seen of it. EGM is having a big story on it next month, so we'll know more then.

Infamous - is this another crackdown clone?
Another?
There seems to have been two or three announced recently.
I think it will be the popular genre to milk this gen, thanks to the power of CPUs now.
Crackdown
Assassin's Creed (?)
Prototype
Infamous
Incredible Hulk
-
Metal Gear Solid 4 - will get the 360 version if I get it at all
MLB '08 The Show - not interested
Infamous - is this another crackdown clone?
Little Big Planet - YES PLEASE!
Resistance 2 - no thanks, Gears 2 is coming
Killzone 2 - no thanks
Gallian Chronicles: Valkyrie of the Battlefield - nope
Yakuza Kenzan! - might get this, not played 1 or 2
White Knight Chronicles - doubt this will come out this year, but if it does, it will be the end of Dec anyway
Yep. Pretty decent line up imo.
-
Sucker Punch rules. Shut up.
-
PS tripple baby
-
Twisted Metal: Head On is the first component of THE YEAR OF PS3 :bow
It exceeds Omega Five, Rez HD, and Lost Odyssey. 360 is fucked.

Are we to apply Twisted Metal: Head On directly to our foreheads?
-
yes, and PS3 to our balls

I not to be a hater on Infamous, but I think it's kind of preemptive to hype it up. Sucker Punch has made 2 good games, and while they were good, they were not great, and I didn't get the impression that they were any better or any worse than any other 2nd tier developer. They are more Travellers Tales than they are Insomniac.
-
Insomniac is also 2nd tier though.

I agree, but I don't think they're as bad as Travellers Tales, really. TT makes quite a bit of mediocre stuff. The comparison with Insomniac is more apt, imo. Solid but not spectacular developers.
