At EB we have Lurkers,Townie Lepers, Junior Members, Members, Senior Member, and Icons. What's an icon? And the other classifications have certain criteria that needs to be met, 2000 posts and so on. What's the criteria for icons? The board FAQs never explained it. I'm just curious.

Icons are nominated and voted for, and if it is decided by the admin that they are an outstanding member of the community, they will be accepted as Icons.

The whole Townie Leper category seems very unique to eb. The concept, not the name, obviously. It's basically a borked account that can still post. I'm not an experienced forum dweller so I've never run into that type category in other forums. I know they ''junior'' annoying members in GAF. But it's just a label. It does not restrict your account like the townie leper.

No, they've actually taken away people's thread-creating privileges before.

I know that. Also they don't label those w/o thread making privileges. But lepers cannot pm either and other stuff as well.
