I was idly watching random shit in bed, and I finally got to watching the Blackadder Christmas Special, where I was treated to Robbie Coltrane as the Christmas Ghost:

Yes!  As Samuel Johnson, no less.  I agree with Prole--that episode is the best of the third series.  I also like Byron, Shelley, and Colderidge's appearances, billed as "romantic junkie poets" in the credits.

Make sure you get Blackadder Christmas Carol, too.  It is also super awesome.  The woman that plays Nursie does an awesome Queen Victoria.

Man, watch another ep of CYE or more Blackadder or some Garth Marenghi's Darkplace.  Decisions decisions.  It's going to be a pot of coffee day at work tomorrow.

I watched episode 2 (the first episode I have ever seen--I was getting format errors on my Zen W on episode 1), and that was some awesome shit.  If the whole series is like that, it's probably a good thing that it only went for 6 episodes, though.  I can see it running out of things to do fairly quickly.

I'm mildly worried that I might kind of get sick of it before the series is over.  It's a good joke, but I'm not sure how many times it will be funny.  I am assuming things like the sub-basement quality production values, rampant misogyny, and the rampant egoism of Garth/Dagless are pretty much the big jokes, at this point?

that's pretty much it.

i think it loses it's allure before the 6 episodes are up if i watch them too close together
