Cohabitation is still illegal in 7 US states. This I did not know! Hozzah! I think one of them used to be North Carolina, but wikipedia doesn't list which states still have these laws.
From a enws article:
Those of you shacking up out of wedlock, have no fear: A judge has thrown out a 201-year-old North Carolina
Oh wait, I found it via google:
But in Florida, Michigan, Mississippi, North Carolina, North Dakota, Virginia and West Virginia, "lewd and lascivious" male-female cohabitation remains illegal,
Florida wins again.

Wow, privacy means nothing to some. Reminds me of the sodomy "ban"

The ACLU should sponsor a test case, get it struck down, and inspire a ton of "I personally do not think it should be outlawed, but by taking the issue away from the legislature, a power-hungry judiciary has..." type columns from conservative pundits.

Cousins can do it in those states but only as long as they're married.

Well I know that isn't enforced in North Dakota, cause hoo boy I knew quite a few "lewd and lascivious" people living together in Grand Forks.
