Those are just estimates, too, but the efile is usually on time.
-
They emailed me an estimated date and it was delivered on that date. :)
-
Sweet, thanks for the table, TVC.
-
i've always gotten mine a bit early
but then i typically file the day i get my w2s because i'm owed money
-
Being estimates you might get it earlier. I got my refund 4 days earlier.

I got $1100 back :D but thats going towards a down payment on a car. Now that $600 Stimulus check...I'm still clueless on what to do with that. Maybe a new zoom lens for my camera :drool

Save the $600 for emergencies.

Man, I want a D300 really badly. I am half-tempted to go for a Canon 40d because it's like 500 bucks cheaper, but the D300 murders it. And really, the 40D isn't a whole lot better than the upcoming XSi.
I just wish I could find a D300 for like under 1600 bucks.
-
I'm already tied to Canon but that D300 looks sweet. The XSi looks hot though...I really want a Full Frame DSLR though but their so expensive.

Yeah, full frame it looks like the minimum is still 4k-5k. I don't even look at those anymore. They are just a pipe dream at the moment!
My XT has been problematic lately, so I'm taking the opportunity to move up a level in cameras. I'm not happy about rebuying lenses. I'm probably going to do it one at a time. I don't even know what kind of lens to grab first. Just the body for a D300 is 1700-2000 <cry>, so it will probably be, well, whatever is CHEAP.

Maybe you should look for a used one? 2nd hand high end equipment are usually still in excellent condition. People just aren't likely to be rough with stuff that's so expensive.

The D300 is a new product though (I believe)
My next camera would probably be the XSi but I'm looking more at Lenses currently
-
Yeah, the D300 just came out a few months ago. September or October, I believe. 1799 MSRP, with no lens.

Sounds like you could afford it if you just cut down on other purchases for the rest of the year. I won't be buying anything else when I spend all of my 1st year residency salary on the Revel Ultima Salons.

I can afford it, I'd just have to keep my spending for the rest of the month low, which wouldn't be too difficult. I'm usually not huge on deal hunting or anything, but even shaving a hundred or so off that price would be nice.

I just saw that Best Buy does carry the D300 although the website shows it's out of stock. I posted a link yesterday which had a 10% off oupon for cameras:

I don't see any restrictions for Nikons so hopefully it'll work.
