Title: After a weekend of Orbital, I cannot stand them anymore.
Post by: MrAngryFace on October 30, 2006, 01:13:56 AM
So I was WoW'ing all weekend. Just nothing going on, most i've wow'ed in 4 months. Well ANYWAY, the soundtrack to my grand adventures was almost every Orbital CD which I BORROWED from the BORROWING STORE on the INTERNET BORROWING NETWORK.

After a few hours I realized almost every Orbital song was some british guy (probably from the slums o london) slurring some four word statement and Orbital just fucking looping it while crappy Techno whatever played in the background for 6 FUCKING MINUTES.

It took a weekend for you to come to this conclusion?

The only Orbital song I still listen to from time to time is Halcyon + On + On

Never was much of a fan of the rest.

 :lol

Yeah, that's what I was talking about.  It was like in every movie in the 90s, including Mortal Kombat.  And it was The Bourne Identity too.

Didn't William Orbit produce Madonna's Ray of Light album?

I thought they used it perfectly in Mortal Kombat, it was pretty awesome ending.

Too bad the first movie while decent was dragged, shot, and molested in the dirt with the second one.

I saw both Mortal Kombat films in theatres, and Annihilation was before the Internet had taken off to the point where we could be adequately warned about horrible productions.  And - man! - was that one of the worst flicks I've seen in a theatre.  I don't understand how a movie makes money and from the looks of it, the studio SLASHES the budget for the sequel.  It looked like the rented their costumes from a Halloween shop.

I love The Box.   And the version of Satan with Kirk Hammett that was on the Spawn soundtrack (which is a pretty damn awesome soundtrack).  Outside of those two songs, I really don't know much about Orbital.
