At least he is finally off GFW.  But now he has to go and ruin 1UP yours?  God I am pretty sure he is socialy distinguished mentally-challenged.  droning on and on and on and on....

i haven't listened to the ziff davis podcasts for a while so i'm out of the loop, what has happened? where is shawn going?

Shane and Garnett have been fucking up that podcast long before Sean got there.  Shane is a nasal PR windbag and I have serious doubts if the guy has even played 20% of the games he talks about.  Shane seems to know about some obscure flower planting game that you can only buy at a Hong Kong ice cream shop but ask him about something like Bioshock and he'll recount some story about the game that he overheard someone else say in the bathroom at E3. The man is entirely full of shit and I'm surprised  people don't call him on it more often.   Meanwhile, Garnett is a distinguished mentally-challenged drunken buffoon that won't let anyone finish a thought without him interjecting a line some garbbled slurry of constanants hoping to resemble a sentence.  For Christ's sake, let them finish talking you anal cyst popping ape. And while Shane is evidently a master of bullshitting all the fanboyz on GAF, Garnett has probably only been right about anything on that show twice....I honestly don't know which is worse.

John was a good guy to have around.  Same with Brian (or Bryan as he likes to be called in da hood). It's nice to listen to some guys that don't have some fucking agenda to promote.

This is actually the reason im gonna start listening again, if only because a hope that elliot will probably call out both of them on their respective bullshit.

Shane speaking makes me think of a bobblehead with a voice.  A bobblehead who praises NIS faggotry and hates dynasty warriors.  How is that even possible.  I like how hes supposed to be the "Japanese game guy" on the show, but with the games he plays, he may as well just fap off to the latest console fps like everyone else on the show.

Garnett is just an loudmouth who is incapable of admitting he is wrong.

I'm looking forward to listening again, ive been enjoying gfw quite a bit, and it'll be nice to have someone there to set them straight when they all go on the pcsucks lolcatsgohere rants.

Can we run some kinda Man-God campaign for Sean Elliot?  Dude's awesome. 

Every bit of Resistance that I played was entirely mediocre--AI, pacing, level layouts, objectives, interactivity, you name it.

Where's the bias? In the fact that I was somewhat surprised at Shane and Bryan's extreme anticipation of Resistance 2 when I'm not sure either has played the first game? Or that I suggested it might be possible that much of the hype surrounding Resistance 1 was a result of its status as system launch software? Am I not biased against Wii, as well? No More Heroes isn't my favorite game. And which 360 games am I going easy on?

These things only count for bias in a fucked up, insular world where people somehow build identities on their preference in videogame platforms. That specious reasoning has no hold on me. Why should I take sides when all that ever matters is quality games? Likewise I don't care which platform sold 50,000 more units in a given month. Whatever.

12 pages or so into this thread and, surprisingly, not one person who is arguing that Resistance's campaign was a first rate affair has taken the time to explain to the rest of us why this is so. Rather than create a strong case to spark interest, perhaps using the game's best moments as examples and then comparing these to other standout segments in other first-person shooters, we have two dozen iterations of "you hate Sony! You hate fun! Resistance is too amazing!"--each adding momentum enough for another rotation of the bullshit wheel to take us back to where we began. This is not discussion, its irritating schoolyard prattle. I'm not beyond convincing. It's not as if I'd turn a deaf ear to say, a Robert Ashley, Skip, etc., should they make a persuasive case for sticking with Resistance.

Sean Elliot is fucking awesome.  I love him on the 1up Network Podcasts.  Despite not being a PC gamer, I enjoy listening to the GFW podcasts, actually.  Go look up his antics in PC Games like TF2 if you want a good laugh.   :)

We need to get Fart Of War on this forum, stat!
