800 bucks is probably a fair price for that, actually. Well, maybe with a bit more internal memory. Sexy phone. Probably gets like 2 hours of battery life. 15 minutes of talk.
The issue of cell phone battery life needs to be addressed before I can get excited about new phones, really. All these new features are great and all, but without having the convenience of being able to go 1 fucking day without recharging my phone, no thanks.

Yeah the new Nokia Navigator apparently has shocking battery life due to the GPS.

Well at least Japan wins in one area I guess. Japanese phones can go for a week without charging on minimal use - mine is about three days usually. It's funny though - Japanese phones have next to no market outside Japan. Nokia is like 65% of the world or something, then Sony Ericsson.
I usually get 4 days on my 8525. . . assuming I don't use it. Making a one hour phone call will usually bring my battery down to 70-60%. I love 3G internet, and I love that it automatically checks my mail, but that feature KILLS battery life. If I have it check email once every half hour, the battery will last only one day. I currently have it set to check my email once every 2 hours. That's not very timely, but at least I can not charge my battery every day.
And that's why it sucks. I have to make compromises in using a very useful feature because of the battery life. It's an awesome feature! I just wish I could use it.
So please, cell phone makers: fix the battery shit.

TVC, I go around 2 days without recharging for my N95. And it has a less powerful battery than the N96, so it doesn't look too bad. :D
I am definitely getting the N96 when it gets released. $800 is a bit steep, but the features and overall package is killer.

You see what a simple picard pic can do? It brings dead threads to life.
