Uncharted looks good, but - my God! - the screen tearing. So much screen tearing. I'm not even that big of a graphical nut. Also, why are there barrels of explosives in ancient ruins?
-
weird...i thought it was pretty optimized.
and there are barrels everywhere.
-
Screen tearing is this gen's jaggies.
-
The game is not as bad as I thought it'd be. It's fun. It doesn't do any of its gameplay mechanics terribly well, though.
-
Its a great game.

Solo plays games?!
-
Maybe he shouldnt. "Great game"? hahaha

Did you get Sigma?

Did you get Sigma?
Out of stock, so I rented Uncharted.

Funny I never saw much screen tearing in Uncharted. Not that it wasn't there but it seems to be worse with others.
-
What res are you at, Willco?
It's there, but I only really saw it on fast camera pans.
-
The only time the screen tearing was really bad imo was during the first jetski sequence. It was Blue Dragon-esque.
-
I think I am playing at 720p. It's certainly not 1080p. Anytime I move the camera quickly, there's screen tearing. And in an adventure game where you're constantly jumping and crap, it's hard NOT to move the camera.

big ass LOL at maf's new persona
:bow :bow

Solo plays games?!
Yes, shock and awe. Uncharted for me falls just below Bioshock and Mass Effect for 2007's best console games.
I also only noticed 1-2 instances of pull-you-out-of-the-experience screen tearing.
-
look at those explosions willco
LOOK AT THEM
they are strange yes?
-
I played it in 480i, didnt notice much tearing, but i DID notice it, especially during fast pans in the especially pretty areas, i guess thats why they did the "blur" when you spin in a circle, to hide it.
Still found it less visible than something like ratchet (demo).

I only played the demo of each of those but I don't remember as much tearing in R&C. I tried to keep away from touching the camera too much because the controls normally use the face buttons but I don't think I ever saw the framerate/v-sync make any problem at all.
-
Final R&C didn't have much tearing problems, if any at all. Slowdown was rare as well.

you must hate every 360 game ever made if you dont like screen tearing
