I put my shit on milan. The odds suck considering last game's display by Arsenal. The san siro factor just isnt enough to pull us out of this one. Its going to be a match to remember. Play with your head not your heart.... i just cant :(

I used to watch when I had time. Paid $250 to watch Real Madrid when they came here. Too bad that lazy bum Ronaldo was out of commission. I wouldn't have paid that much if I knew he wasn't going to play.

He is done now. I mean hes been on a huge fitness slump since he resigned with milan. Severed his tendon about 2 weeks ago, concluding his great career in europe. Probably going to announce his retirement from serie A soon and is going to join a club in brazil and end his career there.

Ronaldo has won lots of scoring titles, MVPs, World Cups, etc. but sometimes it still feels like he came up short. Anyone that watched him in his prime would have thought that he would end being the greatest player ever by far. There's no doubt that no one ever had more talent, not even legends like Maradona or Pele. Just look at the last World Cup. Dude didn't play soccer for half a year, went in overweight and still scored several goals. Ridiculous.

Ohhh jeeze watch it there. He certainly is one of football's greats. Without a doubt. But maradona/pele status? hellll no.

Have you watched Ronaldo in his prime? Lots of people, including experts, thought that he would become the greatest player ever. He ran through double, triple teams like they were nothing.

He was an incredibly consistent goal scorer and pretty incredible athelete in his prime. But...

No doubt Maradona had better all around skills. In terms of scoring though, Ronaldo in his prime had no equal. He took the razzle dazzle to the next level like Jordan did with Dr. J's stuff.

I'll go further :
Maradona >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Pele
And that's coming from an English man.
Maradona was a football god, and then a massive fat drug addict. hurrah!
Pele was good, but now he just talks shit.
HAHAHA ditto at that last comment

I don't know if it's fair to say Pele was overrated. He's had such a strong influence on how the game is played today.
If Pele hadn't been Pele, then Maradona probably wouldn't have been the player he was. Of course, I give credit to Maradona also for the influence he's had on the players of Ronaldo's generation.
My point about Ronaldo wasn't that he was the greatest player although I think it's more arguable than some people think. It was more of a commentary on how he never really fulfilled his potential of being the most gifted player ever.
Still, it seems to me that Ronaldo sometimes gets more criticism than he deserves because he makes it look so easy. At such a high level of competition, scoring a few goals isn't easy no matter what.
As fat as Ronald was, he was still more dangerous with the ball in scoring position than most of his teamates.
Dcharlie, as an englishman, you should know how invaluable finishing ability can be. :lol

Remember when England supposedly had the best midfield? :lol
-
So basically England football fans are the sports world's equivalents of Sfags?

Frank Lampard = Uncharted
