well the beginning is rough going but once it gets going it becomes a lot better

it kind of holds back from its ultimate message but in the end it's still quite uplifting

up next i think i'm going to see the band visit tomorrow

I need to head down to Chinatown and get a Gundam model for my nephew's birthday, I'll probably stop into Pink Godzilla since it's right next door to the model shop.

I think I'm looking at doing another amazon book binge.

I'm looking for two books for computer science, one an introduction to computers and fundamental programing concepts and one for an introduction of OOP.  Any of you comp sci guys have a suggestions?

Pink Godzilla had the Nightopia Dream Pack for the PS2, and even have it listed on their site for sale, but they wouldn't sell it to me, since it was a preorder. It might be a good idea to not list preorders on hold as being available and for sale in the store.

Oh well, not like I need another game or anything!

Didn't buy anything today because I've been violently sick with a terrible flu... but yesterday I bought:

-Near pair of slim fit jeans from Express
-2 graphic tees from Express
-Wipeout Pulse for PSP
-6 pack of Heineken

And one of these:

I went to Half-Price Books today (with a quick detour past Gamestop). I had nothing particular in mind, I just wanted to browse and see if anything caught my eye, here's what I came back with.

Sci-Fi adventure from Robert Heinlein, some short stories by Frank Herbert, a detective novel set in 1950's Hollywood by Ray Bradbury, don't know much about Iain Banks but I've heard he's a good read, and some steampunk craziness from William Gibson, all for a mere $20. I'm pretty stoked to start digging into these. I started reading The Wasp Factory since it's the shortest, and it's pretty good so far.

As big a Banks whore as I am,  I have to say, The Difference Engine is the gem in that bunch! Good haul!

Went to see The Other Boleyn Girl with my wife today.  Then I bought

and the latest Revolver magazine cause it had something about Gigantour in it. :rock  Haven't heard anything about the book but it looked cool and it's the guy's first book EVA so I can be an OG if he blows up.   :-*
