Title: Laptop battery question.

I recently picked up a laptop, a black Macbook.   Incidentally, this is the first laptop I've ever owned.  I've was always been a desktop person.  Regarding the battery, what's the ideal solution for maintaining optimum battery life and performance?  Do you let the battery discharge all the way and then recharge?  Or do you wait until its down 50 percent or so and then recharge?

Just keep it charged as much as possible.
