Right Stuf has another sale going, this time for ADV products. All ADV DVDs are 40% off, and CDs and books are 33% off. The sale lasts until March 16th. Just go to www.rightstuf.com and click on the sales link to get a list of the stuff that's on sale. At checkout, write genesis (as in Neon Genesis Evangelion, lawl) as the coupon code to get the discount.
Some of the stuff that's on sale includes:
Neon Genesis Evangelion Platinum box set
Full Metal Panic complete DVD collection
Martian Successor Nadesico Perfect Collection
Azumanga Daioh box set
Blue Seed box set
Chrno Crusade box set
Cromartie High School Complete Collection
Diamond Daydreams complete collection
Dai-Guard complete collection
Dirty Pair OAV box set
Elfen Lied complete collection (for demi)
Excel Saga complete collection (for MAF)
Godannar complete collection
Kino's Journey complete collection
...and tons more. ADV has a number of really great titles, and Himuro has driven them to the brink of bankruptcy (they had to cancel Gurren Lagann and a bunch of other shows recently), so you should erally help 'em out.

Then write a letter to a diffrent publisher. Get Viz or somebody.
Your best bet would be Funimation or Bandai Visual now.

Everyone should have Azumanga, Nadesico and Excel Saga. Three great shows.

:drudgeGood news on the anime front, kinda. :drudge
Urban Vision rises from the dead!
speaking of dead/dying anime companies, Urban Vision (http://www.urban-vision.com/) just made an announcement after being dormant/presumed dead for the last year and a half. They're only announced forthcoming release is the DVD/limited theatrical release of Azumi 2, which kinda makes sense because the last thing they did way back in 2006 was a pretty good DVD release of the not-so-great Azumi.
If you like bloody samurai flicks starring acting-impaired females, Azumi 2 will be one to watch out for (hell, I'll rent it).

Aya Ueto (who plays the lead) is so cute, but she's better suited to light comedy fare.
From the list, I would recommend Blue Seed, which is a very funny, dramatic, action-packed monster-of-the-week type show (it has elements of Ultraman, Godzilla, as well as taking most of its monsters and backstory from Japanese mythology).
