Yeah it's awesome except for that little bit with his mother at the end where they had to reinforce themes.
This was the first movie I went to see with my future wife. :-*
You were stalking me back then?
:o
WAAAAY better than the Departed.
I just watched it for the first time about a week ago. Yeah, it was fucking awesome. Leo :bow Cate Blanchett gave a really damn good performance too. And Kate Beckinsale was OMG.
Ichi cementing his japa(asian)-cigarillo status.
WAAAAY better than the Departed.too frigging right.
Hell, most Japafags can't even tell the multiple Tony Leungs apart.
this thread just got uncomfortable

Marty's best movie in years, easily.
and Cajole dude, Hong Kong cinema is worlds apart from Japanese cinema. We can all agree that Ichirou is a Japa-eff, that doesn't mean that he's automatically a fan of any sort of Chinese cinema. Hell, most Japafags can't even tell the multiple Tony Leungs apart. That Ichi-boy there prefers Infernal Affairs to The Departed is only a sign of his good taste and nothing more.
Not one naysayer yet. Seems like this should be the official movie of Evilbore.
Also Leo acts the fuck out of this movie. Blanchett, too.quite right.
hay watch the kate bashing, she's top heavy. (bad-dum pshh)fixed.

bluray transfer looks great, but now that I mostly watch blurays its getting harder to tell

Being better than the departed isn't saying much though.WAAAAY better than the Departed.But worse than Infernal Affairs.
You should watch those films I recommended, Raban.
They are good.
The only thing interesting about Matt Damon's character in The Departed is how he can't even keep his accent straight. I'm guessing Scorsese just got tired of doing retakes and let him do his thing. . . poorly.

isn't he FROM that area though?
i haven't seen the departed since theaters
His accent never bothered me at all in The Departed. I need to pay attention to it the next time I watch it.
And honestly, some people from Boston do sound like a cartoon. :lol

He goes from sounding believable to having a cartoon-like affectation on a random basis. It is probably the most inconsistent movie accent in a big picture since Keanu in Bram Stoker's Dracula.
:( How was my accent when I played COD4 with you?I have a MUCH stronger accent than you do cajole :-*

Yea, you do. It took me a while to get accustomed to it. :P
And I will, TVC.
TVC=dark, commanding voice
Drinky=sounds like an 18 year old to me
FatalT=dark, commanding southern voice
Cloudwalking=sounded so innocent but it was a lie
Cheebs=nerdy voice
Nah you sounded like an 18 year old. I remember thinking you were TVC, just pretending to be Drinky.
