Title: Any plans for St. Patricks day?
Post by: lordmaji on March 13, 2008, 12:07:12 PM
I'll end up just working. But lunch at a local brew house/restaurant would be nice. Depends on who is willing to go and who is not. Screw going by myself. :P

Any one else planning on doing anything?

Americans seem to celebrate St Pattys day alot more than Australians, even though a large portion of Australian settlers were also Irish. Do people with non-Irish backgrounds celebrate it as well over there?

It's an excuse for white people to get drunk - of course it's celebrated here.

This shitty holiday should be regulated to fall on Fridays and Saturdays only.  I'm probably not going to be able to do anything.  :'(

Nothing, I'm not Irish, I hate shitty dive bars, and it's on a Monday. I'm gonna just be going to the gym like I normally do on Mondays. Only way you can really get me to give a shit about the holiday is if it involves some cute Irish redheads.  ::) :-\ 8)

White Americans celebrate Cinco de Mayo. We like any excuse we can come up with to get drunk.

It's Monday, but most people are celebrating it on Saturday.

I'll celebrate it Monday.

Seeing as how I didn't know when it was.  I'll probably play video games and do it at home

Nothing.  While I like alcohol from time to time, I'm not into getting sloppy drunk.

This is very true.

Fortunately, my spring break begins on St. Patrick's Day this year.

I will make a thread I regret and lock in the morning.
