Title: Someone gave me Apple TV - man its wacked...
Post by: abrader on March 14, 2008, 04:09:13 AM
Ok so there is some merit to kicking back and watching you tube for hours on the big screen reformatted and scaled etc...

But the itunes store online movie selection is fucked....

Some movies can only be rented $2-4

Some movies can only be bought $10-15

Some movies can be rented or bought....

:(

other than the fact that buying movies as online downloads is way lamer than buying music as an online download - finally making sense to me and what im willing to pay for and offering $2-4 movie rentals with a better license than XBL is cool....but when I want to watch an old movie like "enemy of the state" - and click on it to find I cant pay $2 to rent it but instead can pay $10 to own it im feeling really annoyed....

I TUNES STORE - MAKE ALL OF YOUR MOVIES RENTALS - IF I WANT TO OWN SOMETHING ILL BUY BLU-RAY KTHX

No surprise really.  Ipods and Iphones are the only good products that Apple has ever made.

i have changed my mind about this - regardless of the rent/buy situation on itunes store - using my own media on apple TV is worth it alone.

Watching You Tube upscaled is better than cable too haha

The interface and performance does put the X360 marketplace rent/movie interface to shame.

I think i can ditch cable TV now.

I like Macs, but then again I'm a huge fan of Final Cut Pro.

Quicktime kicks ass too. Sorry, if there's one preferred file format for HD movie trailers, it's definitely .mov

Quicktime is like iTunes in that, they both suck on Windows
