i'm really interested in buying this on the ps2--it should be cheap, anyway, so it's worth the risk

i've read that it's pretty good, but, yeah, that the last part of the game is kinda fucked up

Few games in recent memory for me have started out so high and descended to such shit.

Still looking forward to Heavy Rain though. Like an abuse victim. Maybe the devs won't hit me this time. Maybe.

Bought it. I figure I owe these guys money. There's no way I was buying it at full price, though.

The part the demo of the game lets you play is pretty much the prime and peak of this game.

It just gets so stupid later on. You're not really given any kind of freedom of choice, since if you decide to do certain things it ends the game there so you can return and pick the only other option THAT WAS OBVIOUSLY CORRECT FROM PROCESS OF ELIMINATION  :maf

Yeah the game begins pretty well in the resturaunt and later at the police station but it goes down the shitter soon after.  It's like they spent all their time at the beginning and suddenly looked up at the clock and realized that they had about 10 minutes left before it went to print and 3/4 of the game was still unfinished.  And what was the deal with Lucas having flashbacks to a 1940-era military base?  Just how old was this guy?  70?  Bah.

Buy Dreamfall.

Did most of the reviewers just play Indigo Prophecy for 2 hrs?  I've seen so many people complain about the game turning to shit at the end.

Nothing past the first hour could be described as anything resembling anything remotely cool.

Buy Dreamfall.

Dreamfall sucks. And no Xbox had nothing to do with it. The game just sucks and is a uncontrollable mess.

Blasphemy.  With a gamepad the game controls just fine.  Sure the fighting is clunky but you only really have to do it about 2 or 3 times in the entire game and even then it's not that hard.  It's very forgiving.

And while the "puzzles" in the game are about as simple as you can get I still think it's worth the the time playing because imo the story is one of the best ones out there.  It removed all the Grimm Fairy tale BS from the first game and created a very dark yet very entertaining storyline even with its cliffhanger of an ending. I was pretty captivated throughout and I hardly ever get too invested in videogame plots.

Dreamfall actually has more in common with Indigo Prophecy than say a traditional point and click adventure like Syberia....but thankfully Dreamfall isn't infested with Simon-esque QTEs.  God damn IP's QTEs.  If Heavy Rain has that BS littered all over it - screw them.

dreamfall? the xbox/pc game? great game with barely any gameplay in it.

don't recall having trouble with the puzzles or the fights.

i bought it because i was looking for something like indigo prophecy and it turned out to be even better.

The portion of this game where you have to do that like 15 minute QTE where EVERYTHING in the apartment flies at you is hilarious. It starts off with the big shit like the couch and the fridge, then it starts tossing little appliances and FINALLY individual VCR tapes. Hahsjkfdhjsdbfjkdfs.

Seriously great, great news.  I've been preachin' that they need to bring this one out to Xbox Originals ever since they announced the service.
If you don't pick it up off Steam, get it on XBL.

Dreamfall.... :-*

There was a lot of ridiculous scenes in Indigo Prophecy, but the one that takes the cake is the one where it's like, well we've known each other for 5 minutes, let's make sweet love here in this filthy train surrounded by hobos before we save the world.  :lol

Yeah the soundtrack is pretty brilliant in Dreamfall.  From the stuff by Magnet to the orchestral pieces it all really flows quite nicely in the game.

I'm kinda partial to the hospital room song.  It may not play as well to those that haven't played the game but for myself I can't help think of Zoe everytime I hear it.
