Title: Evilbore Secret Santa! - NAMES HAVE BEEN PMed OUT!

Okay, so some people have been asking me to set this up, since not everyone wants to participate in the GAF one, and some people want to do both, etc.

So, welcome to the FIRST ANNUAL EVILBORE SECRET SANTA! :elf

Here are the brief rules. If you can't comply with these, don't sign up.


Okay! If you've read all of that and decided you still want to participate, here's what you need to do.

1. PM me (http://www.evilbore.com/forum/index.php?action=pm;sa=send;u=3) with your shipping address. Include your real, full name, otherwise people can run into problems at the post office.

2. Post in this thread with the following info.
a) Where do you live?
b) Will you ship internationally?
c) Anything in particular that you want? (include game systems, clothes size, and any other relevant info)

3. The cut-off date is Saturday, November 18th. On the 19th I'll send you your recipient's user name and shipping address.

4. Now that you know who you're buying for, get shopping! Try to send out your gift with plenty of time for it to get there on or before Christmas Day.

Other things:

- If you want, you can include your name/username on the gift to your recipient. I will eventually post a list of who was matched up with who, so if you want to remain anonymous until then, that's okay too.
- Keep the gifts age-appropriate, no sending porn to minors kthx.

As you probably all know, I'm a motherfucking zombie fanatic. If you can find something cool and zombie related, I'd probably fall in love with you forever. I don't have either of Max Brooks' books, if that means anything. I'm also missing some classic zombie films (Listed at GAF's thread). Something zombie related would friggin rock.

I wear a size Large shirt if you plan to go that route. If you happen to find a Large that seems like it's humongous for its size, it's probably going to be too big on me. In that case, I'd probably fit into a medium. Speaking of shirts, I've got an I <3 The Monster Hero shirt that's too big. I got it from Troma's official store, and the Large is fucking ridiculously huge. An important note about shirts: I'm not emo or really trendy or anything at all. Please don't get me something Diablos would wear. I've also outgrown my videogame shirt phase.

I love power metal, and upon request I could definitely come up with CDs I don't have if you're stuck as to what to get me. I've got my contact info below, so just get in touch with me anonymously via those means.

I own an Xbox, PS2, Gamecube, Dreamcast, GBA and DS. I can play imports on every system except Xbox.

If my SS is in Japan -- Crazy, cheap Japanese PS2 action games (ie. Simple 2000 Series titles like Oneechanbara 2, Zombie vs. Ambulance, Maid and Machine Gun, The Pirate, etc. Just not Earth Defense Force 2, I already have it). Cool trading figures (Gundam, Square-Enix, MegaTen, Ghibli), Lemon Fran, Kit Kats, Cocori gummis.

If my SS is in Europe/Australia/New Zealand -- Mars Bars. Lots and lots of Mars Bars. I know it's just a Milky Way in a different wrapper, but the wrapper makes all the difference!  If you happen to be in Scandinavia, maybe some Moomin stuff? That, or Sword of Etheria for the PS2.

Chinese gift exchange? What the fuck? That's a White Elephant exchange. My wife and I threw a Xmas part over the weekend and did a White Elephant exchange. We gave away: 1) Really crappy porno that no one wanted, and 2) A copy of R Kelly's Trapped in the Closest, which everyone fought over.

And someone gave a Fleshlight, I kid you not. The person who got that was trying their hardest to convince someone to take it, but to no avail...

OK, apparently Bz WASN'T my secret santa, and Cloud is tells me it's rocketman.

I got an IM from StockyJohnson who said he was my secret santa, and a month ago or so I got an IM from the same person and at the time he claimed he was Bz. Note that I don't have my AIM name shared here, and I think I removed it from my GAF profile a long time ago (could be wrong, and I obviously can't check, lol).

So now I don't know what's going on at all.

The conversation pretty much went like this:
StockyJohnson: I'm your Secret Santa. Do you have a Paypal? Give me your email.
Me: why?
Stocky: Because I'm going to paypal you $50. Don't ask questions.

I didn't end up giving out my email for 2 reasons:
1) It was Bz, who ended up lying to everyone about pretty much everything. I did not want him having my paypal.
2) I described my feelings on IRC pretty well, so I'll paste my IRC log:

I sure hope my person got their gifts in the mail today, seeing how I sent them over a week ago.

As a strange side note, I was Bz's Secret Santa last year on GAF, and I still don't know if he ever got my gift. I PMed him numerous times, and even offered to buy him something else, but never got a response.

I hate the USPS.  Apparently they returned my package to it's sender because they "only hold express mail for 5 days."  It was delivered for the second time on 12/18, and they left a note saying it was at the Post Office.  There is a space saying what date the article will be returned on, it was left blank.  Not that it would have helped me much, with work the first day I could pick it up was on 12/23 and the Post Office was insane that day.  If I had known that the package was going to be returned, I would have braved the line.

But get this, they say the sender got the package back on 12/23, which was 5 days after the first delivery attempt.  So in retrospect, it's a good thing I didn't wait an hour, I would have been much more upset than I am currently at the USPS. 

Anyway, sorry if you thought I wasn't appreciative Secret Santa.  I was actually looking forward to opening your gift today as a last Christmas, but ineptitude at the USPS foiled that.  If you'd like to resend it I would definitely go and pick it up this time, even if I had to take off work.  If you have a different idea that's cool too.  By my figure it was my fault for not picking it up, and it's ok if you don't feel like resending it.


As far as my secret santa gift, my card was charged on 12/18 so I hope to see a post from Drinky any day now.

I'm a little pissed. The gift I got for my secret santa was sent to me instead of them. Even though I specifically set it to be sent to the shipping address they sent it to the billing address instead. Not only that, but there was even stuff missing!

So, sorry Becky. I'm going to call them tonight and see what I can do.
