3 battles in so far on the GBA. The music sucks a big one but this is pretty fun. How long is it? How do the sequels match up?

They get better as you go through them, adding features and units, but they all play the same for the most part.
Unlike Fire Emblem which pretty much -is- the same game each time.

I got bored of Fire Emblem quickly. Too much shitty story.
Advance Wars is awesome though. I thought the sequels ended up adding unnecessary extra units (sup Neotank, Pipes) and Dual Strike is fucking woeful compared to AW1, AW2 and Days of Ruin. War Room on AW1 and 2 is god like.

The story for this seems pretty mediocre too. But I never play these games for the story anyway so that's not a big deal.

Oh yeah. That was ridiculous. I think if you combined him with someone in AW2 or DS you could get some stupid game breaking bonus.

Personally, I was really dissapointed with the most recent Advance Wars (Days of Ruin)
I thought Dual Strike was fantastic though, even if it was basically too complex. yet easy, for its own good.
If I had to rate them... AW1=AW2>>>AW:DS>>>>>AW:DOR

DS is pure turd compared to DOR.
No more split screen battles and overpowered Super CO powers :bow2 :bow2

Hah, I was just about to ask if there was any way to turn the split screen shit off. That's the only thing that's really been bugging me so far.
