Title: Congratulations to Creative Labs - Your Vista Drivers at least INSTALL
Post by: MrAngryFace on November 02, 2006, 11:38:49 PM
* WOOO *  :rofl

Seriously tho, their last batch of Vista Beta Drivers WERE NOT EVEN DIGITALLY SIGNED which is REQUIRED TO INSTALL TO WINDOWS VISTA. I actually had to do special shit to deactivate the sign-check for one boot and try to get it to work. I BARELY got it working last time.

The only problem this time was that the install program couldnt figure out how to overwrite old drivers, so I had to remove the hardware, reboot, then run the install program again.

Digitally Signed drivers are a GOOD idea. I dont mind STANDARDS being applied to the things that MAKE MY PC WORK. However if a hardware manufacturer, one of the biggest, cant bother to digitally sign their VISTA BETA DRIVERS I cant really fault Vista ;)
