Title: PSP Bought - Playing through Brave Story now
Post by: Forgotten Ancient on March 19, 2008, 06:34:32 PM
I was kinda wanting to hold out for the slick GOW bundle, but I can't wait that long.  So, I'm just gonna get it out of the way now.

I'm gonna pick up an 8 gig memory stick, but what else should I get with it?  I'm definitely going to want to crack the system and put emus and stuff on there...any tips or anything that could steer me in the right direction?

Oh, and I will PAY for Crisis Core and Wipeout.  But, I can't make too many other promises unless they're must haves.

Thanks :-*

You're good with an 8 gig stick.  Do you know anyone with a cracked system that can do yours for you?

Do you need to know someone with a cracked system to crack your own?  I've never cracked a system in my life so my knowledge of cracking the PSP is about as good as my knowledge of supply chain management of a third world fur trader.

pretty much, you do

Do people still like Lumines? I'd suggest getting that.

And is Crush a good or better game than Super Paper Mario?

I've been meaning to buy a PSP for a while now..but I'm always late with buying consoles hardware... I tend to buy them in their last years. Is PSP in it's last years?

Already posted this topic, but there are very few games coming out for the PSP after this month.  Himuro might pull out a few Japanese releases from his lubed butthole, but in terms of announced and planned North America releases - future looks grim.

Also, I really don't think God of War sold as well as Sony hoped.  Stores in my district had some of the lowest pick-up percentages for any reserved game in a long time, and I'm holding on to a ton of backstock.  PSP owners don't buy games. :(

I, too, am looking for the coolest PSP combo for GOW.  The last time I bought a PSP was for Lumines.  Then I dropped the system 3 feet and it ceased to work ever again.

Thanks, Sony.

ANyone selling their pSP!??!?

Hey, what's a good case to get along with a PSP?  I didn't get one with the rest of my order, but I'm gonna guess it's a good idea to do so.

This is the one I bought:

I bought a plastic cover for it for that very reason. It's a dust/fingerprint MAGNET.

Well, my PSP's one of the old models so it probably wouldn't fit on yours...it's a piece of transparent hard plastic that snaps onto the top of the unit.

I'm so used to pixelly graphics after playing Gameboys and DS's over the last 18 years that I was absolutely floored by the resolution the PSP offers.  :o

So, how's Parodius Portable? Pink Godzilla has new and used copies of the game in stock, and it's awfully tempting.

Hmm, I have no idea what gurumin is.  I haven't really liked Zelda since LttP.  Is it more like the old school Zelda games, or more similar to the 3D ones?  I'm all about trying something fresh, even if it is "x"-lite.  I mean, Brave Story feels like FF-lite and I'm enjoying it.

http://www.gametrailers.com/player/11751.html

i think it's more like the old school ones, but there are some slight 3d platforming elements

Monster Hunter looks awesome but is it out in the US?  I know it sells awesomely in Japan, but I don't know anyone here that plays it.

Monster Hunter Portable 1 and 2 came out for the PSP in North America under the Monster Hunter Freedom moniker. I have Monster Hunter Freedom 2, it's portable crack.

North America didn't get the G expansions, though.
